Description
Darren Reynolds is currently a Professor in Health and Environment in the Centre for Research in Biosciences and the Institute for Bio-Sensing Technology at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
He has a passion for teaching, learning and research and contributes to environmental programmes and modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Professor Reynolds is internationally known for pioneering the use of fluorescence techniques for the characterisation of waste and surface waters and for the development, characterisation and application of novel antimicrobials for bio-control and biological decontamination.
He is an active reviewer for world-leading international peer review journals and has been involved in research into the potential for delivering or improving the UK’s capability for biological decontamination on behalf of the Government Office for Science and Counter Terrorism

Royal Agricultural University (RAU) is situated close to the junction of the A419 (Cirencester to Stroud road) and the A433 (Cirencester to Bath road) on the south-west edge of Cirencester.
The entrance to the Stroud Road car park is off the A419. (Satellite View, RAU page and RAU campus map)
The Parkinson Lecture Theatre (19 on the map) can be found by entering from the Stroud Road car park, and following the path on the right-hand side of the Garner Lecture Block, the first entrance on the right leads to the Parkinson Lecture Theatre.
